Ed Kornhauser

Jazz Pianist

“Some people try to get very philosophical and cerebral about what they’re trying to say with jazz. You don’t need any prologues, you just play. If you have something to say of any worth then people will listen to you.” - Oscar Peterson

Welcome

In October of 2005, the San Diego Union-Tribune listed Tokeli & the Ed Kornhauser Trio as a “Critic’s Pick”. We continue to make music, and this site is a collection of information about me.

Thanks for visiting my website.

My name is Ed Kornhauser. I’m a jazz pianist/keyboardist based in San Diego. My passion for music is boundless, but my heart lies unabashedly with jazz and blues. I am a composer/arranger, and I gig in the greater San Diego area with a wide variety of musicians. I also give private lessons to all ages. I can teach basic keyboard skills and reading music, as well as advanced jazz techniques like improvisation and chord reading.

Feel free to have a look around the site. Check out where I’ll be performing next, listening to some recordings, check out the blog for news and such, or just peruse some of the photographs.

Once again, thank you very much for stopping by and showing your support.

Peace, Ed
